“I just want to say a big “thank you” to you for teaching me to overcome the fear of water. At the beginning of the class, I was not comfortable in the pool even though it is only 4.5 feet deep. I was afraid to put my head in the water. Your kindness, warm encouragement and your reminder of “think of what went right” kept me coming to class to learn more and to have fun. At the end of the summer quarter, I was able to swim freestyle and breast stroke. I never imagine that I can learn swimming. But thanks to you, I pick up swimming which is a fun exercise, which is good for my joint health and cardiac health. Taking the “overcome the fear of water” class from you is one of the best reward of working at Stanford.”

“I call myself a “reclamation project” and with Audrey as an ideal guide, I have experienced a loss of weight and increase in energy.”
– Jerry, Atherton

"Audrey worked with my husband, my two teenage daughters and myself. Although each of us came with a different level of motivation and fitness level, Audrey did an excellent job of listening to each of us and tailoring our workouts to our specific needs and goals. She is dedicated and has an encouraging style which is motivating and ultimately helped each of us become stronger, more flexible and more fit.“

“Your classes have made me stronger so that I can pick up my grandchildren (and easily lift my suitcase into the overhead bins)!”
– Bonnie Sterngold, Half Moon Bay Client
“I've been a client of Audrey's for more than seven years; she has become an integral part of my fitness and overall well-being. I am 72 and although I still enjoy long walks, there is much more to being truly fit. Audrey is sensitive to the age and abilities of her customers and has the expertise to expand their limits without injury. I trust her.”
– Trish, Atherton
“Thanks for whipping us all into shape, with motivation and humor. I’m so happy I found you and your class.”
– Linda Sue, Woodside
“Dan and I both want you to know that you are an inspiring role model to numerous people in our community with your upbeat, positive outlook, and professionalism!”
– Dan and Margaret Beltramo, Atherton
“I feel so fortunate to work with you Toni!”
– Melody, Atherton
“Toni's class is the highlight of my week. Her workouts are fun, challenging, and fresh -- Toni is always introducing new moves and routines. She incorporates exercises that use your own body weight and target muscles you didn't even know you had! In addition to her awesome workouts, what I also appreciate about Toni is her positive attitude -- she always comes to class with a smile and a great sense of humor.”
– Nicole, Stanford Client
“Audrey is an experienced and excellent fitness instructor, able to meet the needs of everyone in her class to give them the best and most healthy work out possible. She is fun and creative with her work out sets and seamless in her transitions...a talented instructor with good playlists!”
– GraceAnn, Santa Barbara

“I have worked with Audrey at Stanford and Menlo Circus Club and have always admired her compassionate, clear, and inspiring manner. As a program manager, she is forward thinking, fair and organized. As a coach/instructor, she manages to find ways to present that feel fresh and meaningful to individual needs.”
– Zora, Redwood City
“I have taken fitness classes from Audrey for a couple of years. Her attention to proper form, individual needs and limitations is unparalleled, in my experience with years of fitness sessions and several trainers. She’s the best!”
– Terri, Atherton
“Toni is the BEST swim instructor I have ever had. Never having learned to swim as a youth (beyond 20 yards or as far as I could hold my breath), I have sporadically taken swimming lessons as an adult, usually in the summer, when it’s warmer. What distinguishes Toni is that she is not only very knowledgeable, and helpful (if you follow her instructions you definitely improve), but she is ALWAYS positive and encouraging. That is the magic ingredient all good teachers need, to be effective, and she has tons of it. I will definitely be back for more lessons this summer, undeterred by the fact that the other swimmers tend to be much younger, stronger, faster, fitter etc. than I am. Her encouragement will make up the difference.”
– John, Stanford Client
“Audrey is a directed, hard-working and, most importantly, caring teacher. She has excellent organizational skills and creative energy. She also has demonstrated excellent inter-collegial relationships. I highly recommend her.”
– Dr. Stan, El Camino Hospital

“Without a doubt, Audrey is the best all-round coach I have ever had. With a variety of exercises in the gym, she gently persuaded my senior body of stiff muscles and sore knees to strengthen and limber beyond what I thought was possible. And—she encouraged me to dip my feet into the pool, tweaking my exhaustive one lap, “that’s it” approach into a much longer and more rhythmic method of sustained swimming. Her knowledge, expertise, experience, and passion for her job along with her supportive personality are hard to match.”
– Sally, Atherton

“Working with Audrey for many years has helped me physically and mentally by pushing me to do different exercises, equipment and approaches each session. She shows me it is so good to just get moving and work different muscle groups!”
– Jeanie, Menlo Park
“I have worked with Toni King for several years. We meet twice a week. What is great about Toni is that her workouts are very well thought out, challenging for everyone in class despite our different fitness levels and, she continuously changes them up a notch, to keep us interested and motivated. She knows when to push you and more importantly she knows when support is needed. She comes to class incredibly prepared, always on time, full of energy and knows that we too are making the commitment to show up and work out. She values ‘our’ time and effort. I’ve even scheduled a returning flight from out of the country to not miss her class! That’s how much I appreciate Toni’s commitment to my health and fitness.”
– Mary, Stanford Client
“In the past I have struggled with confidence to attend some of the aerobic classes due to a million reasons that have presented themselves as barriers. One of my colleagues suggested that I try one of Toni’s classes and I couldn’t be happier. Toni has a way of kicking up the intensity while ensuring the safety and well form of her students. Toni has created an environment where I feel safe to make mistakes and continue coming class after class. Toni is someone whom I want to continue my fitness journey with as she has become one of my many champions. Thanks for keeping the sweating fun!”
–Jen, Stanford Client
“As a former Swiss Champion I would like to applaude Toni for her excellent coaching skills throughout the six weeks. Not only did she have a thoughtful build up process ready but she also managed to motivate extremely well. It had been a while since I had been in a pool and hence it did take a good two weeks to get „back into shape“. Toni has excellent interpersonal relationship skills and is a very professional coach. She was always punctual (as a Swiss I emphasize this point deliberately...) and she managed to keep us going even if it was tough at times. From what I experienced she understands every detail of a professionally designed swimming program and can also adapt accordingly if required. I fully trust her coaching skills and would recommend her for any position she applies for. It was a great pleasure to be coached by Toni at Stanford and I wish her every success for the future.“
– Phillip, Stanford Executive Program
“I’ve been attending classes for a month now, and I feel stronger and am having a blast! I have injuries here and there, and Toni is always able to work around them so I can join in with the group. A great bunch of people to wake up to and work out with.”
– Dianna, Woodside Client
“As I am an aging senior I was finding myself giving in to the declining lack of strength I was experiencing, and also to various aches and pains that seem to come with 'age'. All that has changed. I can actually transfer heavy bags of dog food from my shopping cart to my car at Costco (an impossibility before), rise from a sitting position on the floor easier and faster, and walk down my stairs in the morning without my arthritis screaming in my knees! I highly recommend this class to anyone of any age. PS. Did I mention I am no longer ashamed of my teacher's arms? I proudly wore sleeveless shirts this summer.”
–Marilynn, Woodside
“About 3 years ago I began taking Toni's Woodside group mat class that consisted of Pilates, yoga, and all around body fitness. My left knee was starting to show signs of needing replacement. She made the class fun with her quick wit, sense of humor, and knowledge of how the body works. We worked hard, but not to pain. Exercises were changed often to avoid boredom. If my knee wouldn't allow a certain balance exercise, she found one that would work. I am now taking private lessons from Toni as I am getting ready for a knee replacement. She is keeping the area around my knee as strong as possible and my moral as high as possible with my limited mobility. I highly recommend her classes or personal training.”
–Berdine, Woodside
